As most of you know, I own a 95 eclipse gs as a dd. I traded my grand cherokee for it after test driving it. Body was real clean, speedometer didnt work and had warped rotors, and it would stall and not start back up until the car was cooled down.

Well, first night i drove it home it took me 5 hours to get 30 miles. The next day i put a new crank sensor in and it cured the stalling problem. Threw new rotors and pads on in the front, fixed the brake problem. I tried fixing the speedometer to no avail.

Then the unthinkable happened. One day after work I was driving home, and got hit by a tractor trailer. Guy never stopped, and it resulted in a broken spindle, broken axle, broken a arms, broken headlight, messed up fender, snapped power steering belt as well as 2 damaged wheels and tires.

I went to junkyard and picked everything up. Installed everything and was hoping for the best. Thats when I found out the entire rear subframe was kinked. Off to the junkyard again. Picked up an entire rear for 50 bucks and installed it. The car is now driveable.

I am either going to sell it for 1k, or do a mini build/restoration on it.

Heres my parts list if i do restore it.

    New passenger outer tie rod
    New passenger inner tie rod
    New OEM wheel
2" or 2.5" header back exhaust
    OE or stage 1 clutch
    New throw out bearing
    fix unnoticeable rot holes
    New power steering belt
    New motor mounts
Fix the the speedometer once and for all
POSSIBLY save up for a 2.4 cloud car engine and boost it with a good ol' mitsu turbo.

    Heres some pics.

Holy crap!!! That guy must have really not been paying attention to have hit a red car LOL. Anyways good luck with it. If I have the cash by the time you are selling it, Ill buy it. I want another DSM but I want a 2g this time. I drive my brothers 420a alot and even though I hate the motor, I love the ways it handles and rides. Very very smooth.

Well I was hoping to sell it before building it, it would be pointless to build it then sell it. lol. Its driveable, it has a complete new rear, new spindle, axle, control arms, timinfg belt and timing accesories, water pump etc.

I love the 420a minus cast pistons... The biggest thing that holds it back from seeing a lot of 600hp plus numbers is the semi closed deck IMO.
@ Cris - yeah man the 420a is expensive as hell to build up, no way you would get your money out of it...

I agree they're not cheap to build. I think its because there isn't too much aftermarket support unlike the 4g63.

Lol well I know he would rather not have a 420a but I dont think he cares at this point. I would just want it for a DD while I build my TSi.

Last chance to pick up the car at 1k. Going to be ordering all my parts Monday, and getting.the rest from the junkyard on Wednesday. Ordering a 2.25" exhaust header back, Sachs clutch kit, new o2 sensor, thermostat, and all new mounts Monday. Getting a cluster, speed sensor, and possibly a 2gb bumper and headlights or a 2ga bumper from the junkyard.
