Looking to see what options i have as far as tire size. Wanting to get the best footprint as possible, going to run maybe 10-20psi in the front tires. Going awd here soon i hope, but thats another story. I currently have 205/55/16 at 35 psi on the front tires. I have a 2" drop so that also has to be put to mind.

I don't want anything bigger than a 16" wheel. The bigger the shell the worse your off.

Stock wheels you can only go with the 225 45 16 safely. They help with grip alot . N chris like I said I have 4 almost new ones that need a new home.

^truth. i ran 235s on evo 17s on my first gen on Tein S-techs and it was fine. 245s on evo17s rubbed however. rolling the fenders may have solved that, but i think it was too much of a drop with the S tech springs and the taller rim and wider tire.

i dont waste my money on shit like that. but i see way too many who do...oh hey let me either go get A. cheapo megan racing shit coils, or B. waste a grand or more on good ones, yet my car is in primer and still has a stock turbo and runs like ass. priorities. i consider myself a true DSM guy. or did when i owned them. no visual mods except a small drop, and maybe wheels thats it. body kits and all that gay shit is stupid and is NOT how the dsm scene is supposed to be. in my eyes, its go fast at all costs, period. its not about stance or looks or gay body kits or stupid headlights and taillights and colors and blah blah. sorry if i offend anyone but i really dont care lol. i hate being associated with those people.
i almost commented in the one new thread where that dude put his parts "wish list" or "plan" down. like WTF what are we 16 in 2000 when car domain came out? lol i cant believe he took the time to upload a bunch of pictures of stuff he doesnt even have! and body kits and talk about body kits blah blah. ugh.
my rant for the day, sorry for the hijack.

I definitely have the same outlook as you do. I am a bit anti-ricer or racist against rice lol. Like, seriously, I have my girl's 5 year old son pointing out riced out cars.
The DSM's are meant to go fast. Period. And as you said, the only appearance thing that should be done is a clean drop and some clean wheels. Hell, not even wheels. I role around with 2GB wheels painted black. And I love them!
I know what thread you are talking about. On tuners, I would have said what my opinions were with a bit of attitude. But I try to be polite here. Politely guiding the ricers out of the riceness.
