Hi everybody im posting this topic to get some motion on the website so basically what im asking is personal prefference backed up by information on why you chose that cam and the performance gain you achieved. So let me start off by saying im running 264 cams but I am shipping them out to delta to have a kelford 272 regrind done to them. Not sure about the performance gain but I have heard nothing but good things on the kelford 272's.

Re: Cams
In my opinion your cams should be matched to what mods are on the car.
I am running FP2 (basically 272's) cams in the auto car. I selected those cams based on previous experience with them in my racecar and the turbo I had selected to run. I do not have any data as far as the performance/ airflow gains for this car going from stock to fp2 cams. But there was a noticable different on the butt dyno.
In the racecar I swapped from FP2 cams to FP4R cams. The FP2 cams were still making power and there was still room to make more power. I got a good deal on the FP4R cams that I couldn't pass up. With no changes in the tune I picked up 4lbs a min of airflow at 16psi on my 3082HTA. The power difference uptop once the boost was turned up was awesome.

Re: Cams
Well that sounds awesome... I was running my 14b on 264/264 spooled pretty quick but for the price im going to upgrade mine seems I went with a gt30r and a full 3" exhaust figured I would get a significant gain from the 14b to the gt30r lol im going to be trying to push around 30psi.

Re: Cams
I have tuned a few cars on kelfords and they work well. IIRC those require upgraded springs. What are you using for tuning? What fuel system mods have you done?

Re: Cams
You will be out of injector before you get to 30psi. What variation of a 30r do you have?

Re: Cams
No I will not. I was pushing 25psi on 450's. 750's are more than substantial to hold 30psi. Its a garrett gt30r off of a 6.0 powerstroke. Evo 660's can hold 30psi also.

Re: Cams
boost pressure is irrelevant, airflow is the more important number.
The following info is based on a gt3076r which is rated at about 54 lbs/min. 750cc injectors at 100% idc will support 53.83 lbs/min and at 80% idc they will support 43.07 lbs/min. So based on those numbers 750's will work for a while. But I would suggest atleast 950cc injectors because at 80% idc they support 54.55 lbs/min. I also have personal experience with an FP variation of a gt30r. 25psi @ 79% idc's on fic 1150's.
what turbo were you running 25psi on with 450's?
Some good info on injectors and fuel pumps in relation to dsm's injector info
What type of fuel are you planning on running? What are your target afr's? What is your base fuel pressure? Do you know what you IDC's are on the 750's at 30psi?

Re: Cams
Not sure if you went thru with this, but delta has to be one of the worst cam regrinders. Buy the real deal and be done.

Re: Cams
I only owned one cammed dsm, I had a 95 tsi awd 95 auto with fp2s. I read adds comments and thought he had my car.
I ran an AEM ems, 880, then 1150cc injectors, fuel lines, walbro, fuel lab afpr, stock bottom, arp hardware, huge fmic, wideband ugeo or however the hell you spell it... super 20g full 3 inch, turbo back.
it was fast as shit. I would say most noticeable was 5000+rpm area. The car felt like UT never let up.
