Making of Custom Battery Box
So basically i wanted to move my battery in the trunk , and wanted to make sure the battery would be out of the way with out having any electical contact with things rolling around in my trunk. I made the box 10'' high, 12'' long and 10'' wide, so i can put almost any battery in it i want. I took a 4ftx4ft sheet of diamond plate, a straight edge, marker and a Angle , o and a sawsaw, and got to work. I marked off all my pieces i needed to cut, then used the sawsaw to cut them out, i grinded the edges down in preperation for welding, I welded the inside with an aluminum MIG welder, and just made 3 small beads on each side connection to the top. I then TIG Welded it on the outside, Now i just have to grind the welds and paint it Ill upload pics here later today.

Re: Making of Custom Battery Box
I would've just made it for a small battery. My stm battery is 7.25x7x3. A lot less weight and really small so you can conceal it anywhere.

Re: Making of Custom Battery Box
If your not in a super hurry I can make a tech article for you sometime this week when i go to run my Battery Cables, The ground is super easy, u just ground it to a bolt, The Hot wire is easier then you think, splice into the factory location, and add enough wire to run it threw the fire wall, and under the carpet, you can get battery wire at advance auto, its 3 bucks a foot i think, not sure, but ill do more descripted article here next week when i do mine. and the systems gonna be beast, gotta fiber glass my box thats gonna take up the whole back seat ( Thread for it as well).

That is F'n Huge, how many batteries you sticking in that sucker? I like my music loud as well, but I am a simple man, some 10's and component speakers and I am good. Just don't end up like one of them HonDUh owners whose system is worth more than their car.
