Like the title says the car is a 94 tsi awd that was purchased in 2010 for 1300. I found that car sitting next to a guys garage and looked like it had been sitting there for a long time so I stopped to inquire about buying it. He said he was thinking of selling it just needed to come up with a price. I had it towed home a couple days later, after draining all the fluids are replacing with new and checking condition of the timming belt and replacing the battery. I tried to start it and it fired after a couple adjustments to timming and the biss it was running pretty good. The car already had a full apexi n1 exhuast, e3 16g, kyb agx shocks and eibach pro kit springs. I got on the ball ordering some matenience parts since I didnt know when they had last been done, water pump and a full timming job. After that was done I got on ordering some goodies had the ecu socketed and order items to run jackel and sd, vrsf front mount, wally 255 hp and rewire, plx devices wb, tubular manifold, 880cc injectors, fuel lab afpr, did some fuel feed mods, 3g lifters, and hks 264 cams, I also put the car on e85 after the installation of these parts.
Ran the car on 28psi on the 16g for a while got into some launches with her and the act clutch that was in it decided it didnt want to hold anymore. Parked it and ordered a clutch masters fx500 with a six puck unsprung disk.
Early this spring I removed the 16g and installed a holset hx35 7 blade with a bolt on housing and a punishment racing 38mm wg resirculated o2. Afterwards it came time for a track visit 1st run I lost to a hhr ss due to the cas plug falling off half way through 2nd, on the next and last run I left the line with a 2.1 60ft setup due to a poor suspension setup about 1/8 mile the car felt as if it lost all power still crossed the line with a 12.8 upon openning the hood I found that I had blew the vac line off the map sensor. At that point I heard a little bit of a bottom end rattle so I decided to load it up and not risk scattering part all over the track and ruinning everyone elses day. When I got home I tore it apart over the next couple days. When I got the head off I had the motor at tdc and I could tell the #4 cylender was a little lower in the bore than #1 once I got it out the rod was obviously bent and also apparent bearing damage on the rods and the mains.
All this leads me to where I am now working on getting a motor together while doing a wire tuck and getting ready to do some paint. I will try to upload what pictures I have of this process I should have some from day1 of me getting the car till today as it has progressed and regressed.
