    My name is Cody,I've had my DSM for about 3 years now and soon I should have it where i want it. I got it in 2010 with 91k miles on it, she sits around 104k now.
    Mods are Injen intake, 14b turbo, complete hard intercooler piping, frontmount intercooler, tial bov, RC 550cc injectors, Fuel pressure regulator, has head work 3 angle valve job and Evo 8 valve springs and retainers. FP mani Evo 3 O2 housing and full 3in exhaust. I have recently done the head gasket timing belt and all pulleys. Water pump, thermostat, valve stem seals, and new lifters. To control the fuel I have a SAFC 2 and to see the AFR I got a AEM wideband. ill update soon.

    Sounds like a fun little build! check mine out! to up load pics I have to do it from my computer, click the little box that shows the pic with the floppy disc looking thing when it pops up click the browse button click the pic you want click host then when it comes up with the url just copy and past the middle one to the entry

    I got my head work done from a friends friends friend in NC for $180. Not bad ehh? Lol

    Nope never raced or anything. I've babied the hell out of her. Well I have got on it when the boost was turned up too 25lbs on the old 16g I had on it. That was before I knew what I was doing. The previous owner had it turned up that far. I've since taken the boost controller out and keep it on wastegate pressure.

    Why did you swap to a 14B?

    I was wondering if you have ever taken it to the track because I have a 14B but don't have a safc, injectors, or wideband yet. But I plan on doing so soon so wanted an idea of what you would run at the track.

    Ah ok. I had to ditch the evo 3 16g because it blew and needed a turbo ASAP I sold it for 80$ and the dude sent me a 14b. I got to keep my hot side of the 16g also.

    That's what I figured happened lol. Yea this project thread really interests me because I can relate since you run a 14B, you have a 2G, and are FWD. Like me.

    you dont need a safc or injectors to run your 14b at 18 psi aj

    I hit fuel cut at 16psi. I still have the 1G fuel rail and FPR so I am hoping that once I change them, it will run better.

    1G 5sp FPR is 37psi. 2G's are 43.5psi.

    Yea that's true. We have very similar set ups so we can discuss outcomes if we differ in anyway I.e if I get bigger turbo how my car does etc etc.

    Yea, I am going up to the garage today to get them. Also, shipping one of my blown 14B's to Motorsports Engineering as he needs a DSM turbo for a mock up. In return, he is sending me a SAFC.

    Yea, exactly. I go to the drags with my car. It's only an 1/8 mile track but oh well. I ran 9.3 as my best. I know for a fact I will be in the 8's this year. My car ran like ass last year. By the time I got it running right, season was over.

    I did however, run quicker than a 2012 WRX, Colbalt SS, and 2 3KGT's.

    I just do the test and tune. It's like $15 total. $10 for a pit pass and $5 to race.

    Idk how much it cost at my local track. It's a 1/8 mile also. But the do have the nights where you race for free. Bit you could end up racing a fast car or a damn van. Lol

    Yea that's how it works with our track too. They could put me up against a pro street mustang that runs like 4 seconds in the 1/8 or up against a mini van.

    They try to make the races as even as possible. There are 4 lanes leading up to the track. It is part of your job to line up near something you want to race. Then the track official will try to do the same. But if you are near 15 mini vans, chances are you will be put up against a mini van lol.

    Most of the time, people come up to you and ask if you want to race together. Then you follow each other to the staging lane. That's what happened with the 2 3KGT's, WRX, Colbalt SS, Celica, and several others.

    Thanks man she's a work in progress still. Plans it's to just make it as clean and as she can get. And if I can get ahold of this nice 1g Awd that I been eyeballing I will turn tht into a racecar.
