Any engine bay pics?

whats up with that blue 1g in the background of the one pic? whats its story lol...
Engine bay pictures: i have a couple, will post them up shortly.
The Blue 1G: that is a car that my buddy had for a while, he was planning on making it into a track car and therefor had a bunch of stuff cut up and welded on it, it has recently gone to the junkyard... even though I tried to encourage him to do a partout first. don't worry, he kept the rims when he sent it in. I am still trying to talk him into letting me get them (enkie RS-5s 17x7.5)

Those wheels would look pretty good on your 2G.

gonna go take a picture of it now...AJracer33a wrote:Mirror?
mind you I still have to figure out how to get the factory mirror off as it is preventing me from putting the 5-way where I want it.
on a side note: check out what i found when i popped my pan off...
That bolt in the pan is from the oil pickup tube?
nope, the bolt in the oil pan was some random bolt i found in there...
that picture was taken before i pulled the feed line out.

looks like I forgot to post this, so here is my 5-way mirror.
still need to remove the factory rear-view to set it the way i want in, but in the mean time it sits right here.

also, minor update:
got my dash pulled out monday, deleted a bunch of stuff in there and working on deleting a few more things.
what it looked like when i first pulled the dash off
after I pulled the ducting out, forgot to get a before picture.
this can was empty when i started...
another "fix" the previous owner did to the car.
complete dash harness... well, minus what i left attached to the dash, need to go through and delete the extra wires
how it looked when i finished for the day on monday
going to get more done in the next couple of days.

You don't know what that bold is from?
Great progress, man. Keep it up.

not a clue, best I can figure it was just forgotten and left in the pan, as nothing has a missing bolt.AJracer33a wrote:You don't know what that bolt is from?
and makes me glad that it never moved around when i was doing "spirited" driving.... that would have blown my block apart if it would have gotten into the crank during my 140mph pull.
Yea you are definitely lucky, man. That could have been catastrophic.
Wow. Keep up the work. Looks great!
^ thanks, I plan on getting out there if not tomorrow then this weekend and getting the motor pulled out, and the rest of the crap under the dash gone. going with a very simple heating setup...
You should start a project log, man. That's what this intro thread turned into anyway haha.
Keep chugging along. Snap some more pics when you work on it. I looooove pics
