    i need some help figuring some things out.
    1. eprom ecu or just send mine in?
    2. is dsmlink and ecmlink the same?
    3. if not which is better?
    4. what all will i need?

    any help, advice, tips, and tricks would be very appreciated.

    1. If your ecu can be socketed, send it in. If not, get one that can.
    2. Yes they are the same.
    3. No need to answer.
    4. Ecu that can be socketed, ecmlink chip, cable, software. Also if you want to do speed density you need a map sensor and iat sensor. This is only availible with v3 of ecmlink.

    I know this is old... but...

    ECMLink is DSMLink...
    You do not need an EPROM ECU anymore. ECM can convert your non eprom.
    Everyone I know that runs Link, runs V3 lite. its cheaper, and it will come with everything you need to get started... except knowledge. IF you dont know what you are doing, read read read read read... then read some more.
    ECM's forums are a great source. The members are quick to help too.
